Hill Country homes

Electrical work for Hill Country homes, done by the people you talk to.

Service and troubleshooting, panels, generators, lighting, inspections, EV chargers. Call 830.885.2151.

If a panel upgrade or a surge protector makes sense, we will say so and why. We will not tell you it is an emergency when it is not. We work within what the house and the budget can take.

Typical calls

Panels and service

Upgrades, replacements, and the messy panel that has been added onto for twenty years. We make it make sense.

Generators and transfer switches

Standby generators and the transfer equipment that actually isolates the house. Sized for what you need, not a package you don’t.

Service and troubleshooting

Breakers that trip. Circuits that went dead. The outlet that never worked right. Diagnose, then fix.

Lighting

Interior, exterior, and the switch that never got finished. We leave it labeled.

Safety inspections

A walkthrough with notes you can use. Honest about what is urgent and what can wait.

EV chargers

Circuit, disconnect, and install for a charger at the house. We check the panel first so you are not surprised later.

  • Also: ceiling fans, hot tub circuits, patio outlets — when that’s the job you called about.

From Google reviews

Wanted a veteran-owned company. Same-day power outlets in a closet. Professional, efficient, fair price.

Have had two appointments with Wheat, both times the electrician was on time and friendly and was very knowledgeable.

Dave Bauereis · Google review · Aug 5, 2024

Neighbor recommended Wheat. They coordinated with PEC and had power back by 3 that afternoon. Fair, honest, no overcharge.
